Here at McCutcheon’s we’ve been whipping up some great new products! This year, we decided to reach out to our ever-loyal customer base to see what great things they were making in the kitchen, and they did not disappoint!
Melinda V. submitted this Cherry Jalapeno Pepper Jam & Cheese Bread recipe on Facebook and we couldn’t wait to try it!
1/4 cup Cherry Jalapenos Jam from Mccutcheon’s
1 cup Shredded Mexican Cheese Blend (found in cheese and dairy sections of the grocery store)
2 cups All-Purpose Flour (sifted )
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
1 Cup Buttermilk
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Melted Unsalted Butter
Preheat oven 325 degrees F. Mix wet and dry ingredients separately. Fold in together. Don’t overmix. Bake for one hour or until golden brown and done in the middle – test with a toothpick, then serve!
